Hong kong 2011
Every since i had seen the hong kong skyline wallpaper i always wanted to go there. A perfect mix of Eastern and Western culture. Filled with the high rises and flashy building and still maintains the roots to the local markets and traditional cuisine. What you see below is the desktop i have which kept me reminding that i still need to visit this place. May be that is a good way to remind you if you have an urge to visit a particular place. May be i should replace this with transiberian route. Nonetheless , I finally had a opportunity to visit hong kong. I was flying to india and decided to stop over in honk kong for 2 days.

Saint Patrick’s Day
Saint Patrick’s Day is a celebration of the irish culture. On march the saint patrick’s day, they say everyone is irish. For me this was a welcome change from the usual celebrations. I could see Green everywhere.
I attended the parade in san francisco on 13th of march. I was more excited than a 10 year old kid. The celebration started from the train itself. I stay in the south of the bay and i am required to use the caltain to commute to the city. that day half of the train was filled with people heading to the parade at sanfrancisco. You could see all sort of green. The light, drark , shinny, blink , all sorts. I headed towards Market and 2nd where the parade was supposed to start and was early by 30 min. This way i could get a good place to stand.
